Steering away from bright summer hues, fall’s palette is making it rich, cozy and charming. Rather than the blush rose and ivory color that every wedding boasts these days, think lilac, aubergine, burgundy and beige. The palette is still feminine, but a little more tailored to the season at hand.

These colors can be introduced in florals, of course, but also with linens, accents, or even rugs like this Red Pine Lodge wedding.

If you’re wanting to add a little bit of luxury to this otherwise rustically-inclined palette, think all things sparkly. Metallic candelabras, candlelight and geodes all bring the bling to a wedding spread.

Of course, you’re going to see your typical menu items for fall. Roasted fruit, hearty vegetables, the works. But something we are seeing and loving this season is the unique array of small plates and hors d’oeuvres coming from the minds of couples and caterers alike.

Tuna tartare cones, mini grilled cheese shooters, whatever you can dream up. Small bites are ideal for getting your guests mingling, and for getting a bit of local flair into your menu. These plates from St. Regis Deer Valley have our mouths watering already.

Venue

Every Utah local knows that the mountains are the place to be for prime Autumn views. Take advantage of those stunning leaves as your backdrop at all venues Park City. From our fall venues featured in the magazine this year, our favorites are St. Regis Deer Valley, Sundance Resort and Red Pine Lodge at Canyons.
