The season’s most wedding-friendly fruit is cut out for more than basic wedges. Here are a few ways you can serve this sweet treat at your outdoor wedding:

Melon pops

Slice watermelon into 1-inch-thick triangles (pictured above). Make a small slit in the center of each rind with a paring knife and stick a popsicle stick inside the slit.

Watermelon words

Cut watermelon into 1-inch-thick slices and stamp out letters (you and your groom’s initials or shared surname) or numbers (your anniversary date) with anything-but-plastic cookie cutters.

Sweet bites

Cut watermelon into cubes and top with olive oil, mozzarella, coarse salt, cracked pepper, a cherry tomato and a dash of balsamic vinegar. Stick a toothpick in the center to transform it into easy-to-eat finger food.
